The New York Equine Fitness Center (NYEF) is the region’s most complete source for quality equine rehabilitation and fitness. Located in the Hudson Valley, NYEF is in the heart of New York horse country, with close proximity to New England, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. We are easily accessible by several main routes, including the New York State Thruway, and within two to three hours of numerous race tracks, as well as directly across the Hudson River from HITS in Saugerties, N.Y.
Our goal at NYEF is to provide a facility for rehabilitative and rejuvenative care for horses. Although our focus is primarily medical issues and injuries most common to competitive horses, we also believe in the benefits of “R&R”. We offer a wide range of treatment options that enhance traditional veterinary medicinal treatments. Our programs are tailored specifically for your horse’s needs and assure that you get your horse back as quickly as possible, in good form, and without debilitating side effects. We do offer single day ship-in services. For pricing information, or to schedule your appointment, please contact us.

Introducing the R&R: Rehabilitate and Recover Program
Our new R&R program offers special packages for equestrian athletes to offer affordable options whatever the level of care your horse needs. Our packages include spa and hyperbaric therapy sessions, along with products from Draper Therapies and Equiflexsleeve to support and enhance your horse’s treatment with us. When your horse’s stay is over, they get to go home with the products so that you can continue to support their treatment even when you can’t be right here with us at NYEF. NYEF’s services work with your veterinarian’s treatment plan, so that we can provide the best in care for your horse. Our technicians observe all treatments and follow strict schedules and report regularly to you and your vet, on progress and problems. We also have a team of veterinarians local to us that we work with on a regular basis so that whether you are looking for a second opinion, or shipping your horse here from a longer distance that makes it hard for your vet to check in firsthand, our team is here to help.
We look forward to having an opportunity to work with you. Please feel free to contact us for further questions, or to explain our services in more detail.
All services must be pre-paid, which usually is handled by credit card authorization over the phone, and many of our services are covered by equine insurance. If your horse is insured, be sure to check with your insurance company on any necessary pre-approvals or pre-arrival information they may need. All clients and their treatment regimens are kept strictly confidential. Remember to ask about our shuttle services, which are available in high volume situations to major equine sporting locations in the area.
