Clermont Farm houses a full service thoroughbred training facility, as well as a state of the art NY Equine Fitness Center. Together, we can offer the best in training and rehabilitative care for your equine athlete.
Located on an historic 160 acre property, Clermont Farm boasts two race tracks: a 5/8 mi outdoor track (with the same surface as other New York race tracks), a starting gate used in training, and a 3/16 mi indoor track so that horses can continue training regardless of the weather conditions outside.
The NY Equine Fitness Center (NYEF) has a 22 stall attached barn to house ship-ins that come in for the day or short term care through a weekend or week. The rehabilitation barn is a full service barn set up to allow horses proper ventilation, stalls with windows between stalls to allow horses to see their neighbors, and stalls with just windows to the outdoors for the less than social rehab patient.
Turnouts range from small round paddocks for recovering equines, to small or medium individual paddocks, on up to large pastures with plenty of room to run and play. Fencing is a combination of board fencing and/or no-climb fencing for the safety of all of the horses in our care.
We also have a covered round pen for starting horses with minimal distractions or bringing rehabilitation horses back into work in a quiet and controlled environment. The round pen is easy to access as it is right across from the indoor track and training barn.
